The Role
This is a full-time, remote position with primary hours in EST. We are ready to onboard a new team member in January 2026.
What you'll be doing
As a UX/UI designer, you help create interactive experiences for the fitness and wellness industry. In this role, you'll be working from ideation to development handoff. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, they are energetic, and a self-starter with a passion for the power of visualization, creativity, and design who will fit in among an innovative cross-functional team.
Responsibilities:
● Understand the client’s vision and translate this into an interactive experience. ● Understand the user goals and needs and create interactive experiences that add value to them. ● Identify and apply research methodologies in order to gain valuable insight into user needs. ● Create models to visualize this insight (user journey maps, storyboards, personas). ● Design task flows and information architecture. ● Create prototypes of the interactive experience to validate assumptions. ● Plan and perform user testing and synthesize findings. ● Design UI components and document the interactive states in full detail. ● Collaborate with developers on finding the best solutions for the available technology.
Your skills
What we require
● A background in a design-related career. ● 4+ years of experience designing interactive products with an emphasis on user interface design. ● Experience with design tools, especially Figma. ● Deep understanding of the design process and its iterative nature. ● Knowledge of research methodologies and how to apply them. ● Ability to understand and empathize with the client’s and user’s perspectives. ● Capacity to create experiences that take into account functional, cognitive, and emotional needs. ● Knowledge of usability principles and how to apply them. ● Ability to communicate and explain design decisions. ● Ability to create a user interface for an app (web/mobile), website, or other interactive media. ● Excellent spoken and written English.
Will be a plus
● Basic knowledge of UX writing. ● Permanent interest in learning new methodologies and techniques. ● Ability to document work in a clear way. ● Experience in a start-up and nimble environment
